DM Class E30 M3 Race Car click images to expand The car shown here has gone through years of development to get to where it is today. It has had a colorful history to say the least. It has been totaled and completely rebuilt twice. It produced a standout performance in 2007 in BMWCCA Club Racing.
The S14 engine in the car at the beginning of the 2007 season was a 2.5L with Schrick 292/284 cams, 11.5:1 compression, ported head and 4-1 merge collector to a 3” exhaust. It ran the Split Second MAF kit with the 4” MAF sensor fitted to a stock airbox. The PSC1-004 was used to do the MAF conversion and fuel calibration. Here is the engine compartment, MAF 4.0 sensor and dyno chart showing 187 ft-lbs and 235 hp at the wheels.
At mid season the engine was changed out for one with 320/308 Schrick cams. The stock plenum was replaced with a carbon fiber plenum and the MAF sensor was upgraded to a custom 4.75 inch unit. Here is the current engine bay layout, MAF 4.75 sensor and dyno showing 174 ft-lbs and 248 hp.
